1968
Heini Schupp start in Kloten Zurich as a sole proprietorship in de trade of automobile accessories.


1973
The company is transformed into a corporation.
1975
The company SF-Filter AG relocate into a new building in Bachenbülach.
1992
Arthur Fritschi und Dirk van der Stroom take over the management and the majority of the shares. Due to the management of the new business owners, the sales program also constantly expands.
1996
With founding of the SF-Filtres SAS in France, SF exhibit for the first time a foreign subsidiary.


1997
Foundation of the subsidiary SF-Filter GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen
(Baden-Wuerttemberg)

2002
With the installation of SF-Filterdienst GmbH, SF is also represented in Austria.


2007
Entry into the Eastern European markets with the founding of the Polish subsidiary SF-Filter Sp. z o.o.
2009
Relocation of the headquarters within Bachenbülach into a modern new building. Simultaneous changes of name from Schupp AG to SF-Filter AG.
2016
Entry of the company Ambienta sgr S.p.A. as majority shareholder of the SF-Filter Group.


2017
SF-Filter AG introduce the new ERP system Opacc and the new online shop.


2019
In 2019, SF-Filter AG also acquired COFAC AG and can now establish itself as an expert in the field of oil analysis and maintenance. Additionally, the process filtration market segment was expanded.

2022
Acquisition by EquiStone as majority shareholder and purchase of the filter trading company Ostholte.

2023
Acquisition of the companies Hermanns-Brems and Busse & Kuntze.

2024
Groundbreaking for the new SF Europe logistics center with over 20,000 sqm in TUT-Immendingen.

2025
Planned opening of the new logistics center and implementation of SAP.
